WELCOME! I am a small town girl from northwest Ohio farm country. My dad is an artist and was a toy designer and my mom was a teacher/homemaker. They have had tremendous faith in all of their four children. We have a really close family that gets along and works together everyone doing their own part. Acting gives me purpose. When I am in the process I am actually more energized. I love my involvement with my “family” of actors, directors, and teachers. I am by nature a very sensitive, maybe over sensitive person but that is what this art/business is about. I am confident on one hand but am deeply private and lean toward shyness. Acting draws me out and enables me to give from my depths. I often feel inarticulate and this is a vehicle that enables me to express myself. I can be very insecure and unsure but I have to take risks and trust truth to come through. My work is to develop my character to that level of being. That doesn’t mean I don’t have stage fright – I have had massive anxiety and lack of faith in myself but I just aim to keep moving forward. Acting has forced me to be a stronger person and I enjoy myself this way. It has also forced me to have more faith and pray for miracles in the things I can not control. Acting is vulnerability on a huge scale. It is risky to open myself up and let everyone see how foolish I can be. Many times I’d just rather sit home and read books and cook for my family but my spirit is restless to be doing this. The people I have trained with have been the light at the end of the tunnel for me. I feel like the luckiest person on earth. Acting is about divine imperfection-some of the actions that I have taken in my life seem to be failures and painful but have turned out to be things that changed my life to make in 1000% better. Humanness and being loved, hated and loving yourself in spite of it, well that’s what we all hunger for. To be able to welcome others into my world is such a privilege and honor. My role in Miss Julie was the first I did after a long hiatus of raising my family. We did it in an intimate setting-in a coffeehouse with the thunder and lighting shaking the building. It was a stupendous welcome back for me. Filming Fallen Petals was an incredible reward for an intense rehearsal period. I feel that I was ordained to be in this film that it was made for me. It is such a joy to work with such passionate and dedicated people. I get very bored if I am not working on some project. I am constantly working on being an actor at the Film Actors’ Studio where I am always challenged to new levels. You gotta love it

truth. A very gifted woman." “Eminently directable” --Marilyn Carter |
